Made for the taller or larger person this is the Celebrity Furniture Hollingwell powered recliner chair in the Grande size which has a dual motor action & therefore means that the footplate can be moved independently of the back. The allows the user to be able to recline in to many more positions.
Not only is this recliner an attractive design but it is very comfortable due to a number of design factors. There is a high back cushion which provides superb support to the back of the neck & head as well as the lumbar region due to the clever three section inside back design. The arms are fully filled with comforting foam interiors which are excellent for resting arms upon while the seat have Mammoth foam interiors which have health benefits such as greater pressure & pain relief, ease of movement and improved circulation.
The power action is operated by buttons located on the outside of the arm. Once the button pressured the footplate comes up behind the legs to lift and support them, and then the back lowers as required. Once pressure is released from the button the recliner holds in the position. To return to sitting simply press the opposite button and the action smoothly closes up again. There is also a useful USB charging socket within the switch plate so that mobile phones and tablet computers can be changed while sitting in the recliner.
This recliner plugs into a normal household wall socket to power it, but if you would prefer it to work cordlessly then please select the "Rechargeable Battery Fitted Inside" option when ordering. This means that it will not need a cable running to a wall socket to work, and the battery inside can be recharged in the same way that a laptop, tablet or mobile phone is. All cables are supplied by Celebrity Furniture for this.
A qualifying person is one that is ‘chronically sick or disabled’ which means :
- a physical or mental impairment which has a long-term and substantial adverse effect on their ability to carry out everyday activities.
- a condition which the medical profession treats as a chronic sickness, such as diabetes, parkinsons, dementia, or a chronic illness which necessitates a complicated medication regime.
- who is terminally ill.
It does not include an elderly person who is not disabled or chronically sick or any person who’s only temporarily disabled or incapacitated, such as with a broken limb.
